About

When I first started coming regularly to Italy, many friends suggested that I write about my experiences.  OK – it was only one friend.  But when I did write about my trips, I sent the pieces to many people – and in this case, many means several more than one.

Timing being THE most important thing in life, just when I’ve started living here six months a year, along comes blogging, which makes it much easier to talk to even more people about a variety of topics falling under the general heading of Italy.  I’ll try to keep it as concise as I can, given that I have an overactive wordiness gene, and I’ll try to include appropriate photos for those of you with short attention spans.

By the way – the photo at the top of this blog is my hometown Orvieto, which is in Umbria, not Tuscany.  Some people mistakenly think everything beautiful is in Tuscany.  I’m here to set the record straight.

  4. Are you still in Italy? You’re sort of living my dream life—and if you’re not anymore, I’d be curious to know why not.
